What We Do
Focused on multi-family, market-rate residential investment opportunities, Spinnaker capitalizes on the changing renter demographics in small cities, transportation oriented neighborhoods and emerging markets that want a high level of amenities, connectedness and a sense of community. The company selectively pursues multi-family development and investment opportunities that will resonate with targeted demographics and complement neighborhoods by utilizing a strategy of in-fill development around transit and employment centers and buying underperforming assets opportunistically.
Commercial + Industrial Re-Purposing
Spinnaker recognizes that aging industrial and office structures throughout the U.S. — particularly in the mature markets of the Northeast — offer unique opportunities to think creatively about adapting and reusing obsolete buildings and properties. Spinnaker has successfully transformed outmoded corporate industrial facilities into world-class sports and recreation venues as well as media and digital entertainment centers, converted downtown offices and excess land to housing and redeveloped derelict, yet historic, factory buildings into creative workspaces.
Located at I-95 Exit 9 in Stamford, The Campus is a business location like no other. The 33-acre park-like setting on Connecticut's Gold Coast is comprised of over 700,000 square feet, half of which will be devoted to the new Chelsea Piers Connecticut sports and recreation complex.VIEW PROJECT
Urban Re-Development + Placemaking
Constantly exploring urban neighborhoods that exhibit authenticity, connectedness and potential for livability, Spinnaker pursues investment and in-fill development opportunities that enhance, integrate with and benefit from, the uniqueness and sense of place found within the existing community. Often resulting in adaptive re-use and preservation of historic structures, extensive environmental remediation, contextual public spaces and inviting street level activity, Spinnaker’s innovative, sustainable and sometimes pioneering developments have provided verve and vibrancy to iconic urban neighborhoods as well as small, compact, transit-oriented urban villages throughout the country.
